Meet the Candidates.

The Grant Park Chamber of Commerce invites voters to meet the Village, School Board, and Library Board candidates on the ballot for the April 2nd local election. This opportunity to meet candidates will take place at the Hamann Center on March 20, 2019, at 6:00 PM. Candidates running for election include:

Village of Grant Park

2-year Trustee – Two Positions

4-year Trustee – Three Positions

School District #6 School Board Members

– Three Positions

Grant Park Library Board Members

– Seven Positions

Each candidate will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and describe their interest in and qualifications for their proposed position. Following this, the Master of Ceremonies will ask questions concerning future problems. Attendees are welcome to meet with candidates following the formal part of this activity.

Notice from Aqua- Boil Alert

This is an important notice from Aqua sent February 7, 2019. Please note only those customersat 308 thru 312 and 421 W Taylor St, Grant Park IL of the Kankakee Water System are affected.This is not a system wide notification.

Because the system pressure dropped below 20 PSI due to a valve repair, Aqua has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers in the affected area. Aqua advises you to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Bring water to a boil, boil it for five minutes and let it cool before use.

We will notify you as soon as it is no longer necessary to boil your water. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

This is an important notice from Aqua sent February 6, 2019 to customers at 327 thru 330 Park Lane Dr. S Willis St, and on Dixie Hwy between Park Lane and Meadows St. Grant Park IL The precautionary boil water advisory issued February 5, 2019 for your system has been lifted.

Based on test results received today for samples collected after the system pressure dropped below 20 PSI due to a main repair, you no longer need to boil water for consumption.
